The Old Glory Honor Flight, now under the umbrella of Missions of Honor, provides free trips to Washington, D.C., to honor veterans who served prior to May 7, 1975.
The Old Glory Honor Flight was founded in 2009 by volunteers in Appleton, Wisconsin, as part of the National Honor Flight Network. Its mission is to celebrate and honor local veterans by flying them to Washington, D.C., to visit war memorials dedicated to their service. Each trip is completely free for veterans, with every detail carefully planned to ensure safety, comfort, and a memorable experience.

The purpose of the project is to intervene, educate and treat diabetics with foot problems in the Coimbatore area to prevent the tragic outcome of amputation. The project follows a structured approach: creating awareness, conducting mass screening, identifying foot problems at an early stage, and providing preventive and curative treatment at the right time. Through systematic screening and treatment, the project aims to detect diabetic foot problems before they become severe and thereby save limbs, reduce the number of amputations, and improve the quality of life of people living with diabetes. The project aims to reduce amputation rate from the reported Indian rate of 15% to below global rate of 2.5%. This is important because amputation often results in severe problems for the patient – reduction in mobility, loss of work and income, and many other challenges.
