Scholarships are provided each year to students from Oshkosh North and West high schools, Lourdes Academy, Oshkosh Christian Academy, and Fox Valley Technical College. In the 2003-2004 fiscal year, $14,000 in scholarships will be awarded to deserving students from these schools.
The Club partners with Roosevelt Elementary School in diverse activities such as funding of D.A.R.E. programs, mentoring programs, "Celebrity" reading programs, a Birthday Book program and more.
High-school based Interract clubs are organized just like Rotary clubs, with all avenues of service represented. Oshkosh Rotary Southwest works with the high school Interact program on projects such as the holiday parade, Bowling for Big Brothers, Trees for Tomorrow, and more.
College-based Rotaract clubs are organized just like Rotary clubs, with all avenues of service represented. Oshkosh Rotary Southwest is currently working to initiate a Rotaract club at the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh.
At the start of the school year each year, over 150 backpacks full of school supplies are donated by Southwest Rotary to schoolchildren from needy families in the Oshkosh area.
Southwest Rotary participates annually in the Math Bag project. Designed after the Rota-Reader book bag program, the math bag program provides a bag to 3rd graders in the club's school district with flash cards and games designed to teach mathematics.
