Club Mission
The mission of Oshkosh Rotary Southwest is to encourage and foster the
ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise.
Club History
Oshkosh Rotary Southwest was chartered on March 20, 1973 with
twenty-seven charter members. Since that time, the club has grown at
a steady pace to
be the largest in Oshkosh with over 100 members.
Community service projects have been a hallmark of Oshkosh Rotary
Southwest, starting with the Club's very first service project

distributing placemats to area restaurants to promote Foster Care. Since that
time, the Club has engaged in dozens and dozens of service projects.
Just a few standout projects in recent years range from spearheading the
volunteer effort to construct "Little Oshkosh", a 30,000 square
foot children's park & playground to the Club's annual Wine Feast and
Charity Auction efforts, which combined produce over $70,000 in revenue for
charitable causes.
International aspects of Rotary have been a constant for the Club as
well. The Club has hosted and sent foreign exchange students since
1983, and has participated in Group Study Exchange since 1984. The
Club actively participates in hosting hundreds of "Flying
Rotarians" from all over the world at a picnic during the EAA annual
Air Venture convention
Vocational service has been another constant throughout the years with
Club Scholarships, middle-school and high-school Rotary programs,
Partners-at-Learning elementary school partnership, and many more vital
and growing service projects over the years.
